چکیده

Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks (VANETs) have been recently attracting an increasing attention from both research and industry communities. The emerging and promising VANET technology is distinguished from mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) and wireless sensor networks (WSN) by large-scale deployed autonomous nodes with abundant exterior assisted information, high mobility with an organized but constrained pattern, frequently changed network topology leading to frequent network fragmentation, and varying drivers behavior factors. In this paper, We introduce a promising realistic vehicular mobility model and evaluate the performance of following routing protocols: AODV, DSR and TORA. A variety of highway scenarios,

Vehicular Ad hoc networks are a subset of mobile Ad hoc networks in which vehicles are considered as network nodes. Their major difference is rapid mobility of nodes which causes the quick change of topology in this network. Quick changes in the topology of the network are considered as a big challenge For routing in these networks, routing protocols must be robust and reliable. AODV Routing pr...

Network Parameters Evaluation in Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) Routing Protocols for Efficient Message Delivery in City Environment

Abstract- Efficient message delivery in city environment is required to ensure driver’s safety and passenger’s comfortability. In cities of developed nations, routing of data in vehicular Ad hoc Network (VANET) faces many challenges such as radio obstacles, mobility constraints and uneven nodes distribution. These factors primarily makes communication between vehicles complex. To overcome and t...

Improving Performance of Opportunistic Routing Protocol using Fuzzy Logic for Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks in Highways

Vehicular ad hoc networks are an emerging technology with an extensive capability in various applications including vehicles safety, traffic management and intelligent transportation systems. Considering the high mobility of vehicles and their inhomogeneous distributions, designing an efficient routing protocol seems necessary. Given the fact that a road is crowded at some sections and is not c...

Modeling of VANET Technology & Ad-Hoc Routing Protocols Based on High Performance Random Waypoint Models

Today, one of the new technologies in the modern era is Vehicular Ad-hoc Network which has takenenormous attention in the recent years. Because of rapid topology changing and frequent disconnectionmakes it difficult to design an efficient routing protocol for routing data between vehicles, called V2V orvehicle to vehicle communication and vehicle to roadside infrastructure, called V2I. Designin...
